Project Overview

CGE Africa implemented the GRB4GBV initiative to strengthen public financing and institutional accountability for preventing and responding to gender-based violence in Cross River State. The project addressed gaps in gender-responsive budgeting by engaging government institutions and other stakeholders to strengthen understanding of the relationship among public budgets, the implementation of GBV laws and policies, and the availability of survivor-centered services. It contributed to advocacy for stronger budget allocations, institutional accountability, and improved access to GBV response mechanisms, including Sexual Assault Referral Centers.
