What We Do

Advancing Gender Equality and Inclusive Economic Transformation

The Center for Gender Economics in Africa (CGE Africa) is a Nigerian women-led research, policy, and development organization established in 2011 to advance gender equality and inclusive economic transformation across Africa.

Research, policy and institutional action for women’s economic inclusion

Our work

Evidence and action for inclusive economic transformation

We generate evidence, influence public policy, strengthen institutions, and convene strategic partnerships to expand women’s financial and economic inclusion.

Our work bridges applied research, policy dialogue, multi-stakeholder convening, institutional capacity strengthening, and monitoring, evaluation, and learning across government, development finance institutions, the private sector, civil society, academia, and communities to address structural barriers to women’s economic participation.
