Promoting Women’s Economic Empowerment through Men’s Involvement in Family Planning Service Utilization

CGE Africa engaged men as partners to advance family planning, women’s economic empowerment, and more equitable household decision-making in Eti-Osa LGA communities. The initiative strengthened men’s participation in informed contraceptive decision-making and promoted support for their spouses’ entrepreneurship and economic agency. Community leadership endorsement after implementation demonstrated local acceptance of the approach and its contribution to shifting norms around family planning and shared household decision-making.
