Project Overview

Working in consortium with Prisoners’ Rehabilitation and Welfare Action (PRAWA), CGE Africa assessed government financing and the adequacy of rehabilitation, educational, social, and economic opportunities available to incarcerated women and their children. The initiative generated evidence to strengthen policy decision-making, institutional accountability, and gender-responsive rehabilitation programming within Nigeria’s correctional system.
