Project Overview

CGE Africa strengthened the resilience and economic empowerment of women in coastal fisheries through climate adaptation, livelihood diversification, and policy dialogue. The initiative promoted alternative livelihood opportunities, including aquaculture, value-added fish processing, and other climate-resilient enterprises, while creating platforms for women fishers to challenge restrictive gender norms, strengthen their voices, and participate more meaningfully in climate adaptation, resource governance, and decision-making.
